Puñachizag, in the Quero canton, was the setting for the First Potato Expo 2026 organized by Interoc, a space that brought together about 350 farmers interested in learning about new technological solutions aimed at boosting the productivity of crops in the field.
This important meeting was attended by the Mayor of the Quero canton, Mr. Pablo Velasco, as well as representatives of the Cantonal Government, who highlighted the importance of creating spaces for innovation and knowledge transfer to strengthen the development of local agriculture.
As part of its commitment to Ecuadorian agriculture, Interoc conducted specialized technical workshops within its technology tents, providing training on biological targets such as the fall armyworm, white grub, and nematodes, in addition to presenting innovative solutions offered by Kalesman, Mito, and Abaspirat. These workshops strengthened producers' knowledge and contributed to the sustainable growth of the agricultural sector.
During the event, attendees were able to learn firsthand about the results and benefits obtained in the field through the use of technologies developed by Interoc, focused on improving the productivity and sustainability of crops.
The morning was also full of experiences for the entire community, with tours of stands where tractors, drones and local businesses were presented, in addition to the artistic participation of the Quero Band and the Diamante Trio, which gave a festive atmosphere to this great day.
Likewise, a traditional chiva bus transported visitors to the experimental field of the Expo Papa 2026, bringing joy and enthusiasm to each participant.
